As part of Peckham Festival, I am holding a beginners hand lettering workshop.
In this workshop you will learn the fundamentals of hand lettering: how to draw neat and legible letters, how to lay out your lettering composition, plus tips and techniques to embellish your letters and turn typography into art.
In the first part of the workshop we will practise drawing different kinds of typefaces and using guidelines and grids; in the second part I will guide you to letter a short quote or message of your choice and create your own artwork with pencils, brush pens and markers on an A4 piece of paper to keep and frame - or gift to someone :)
